Trendsetter II

Trendsetter II is a programmable single feature gaging amplifier featuring two quick change modules — air or electronic. It's the best-selling gage readout in manufacturing today. Typical dimensions that can be measured using Trendsetter II include ID, OD, width, length, height, and thickness. Dynamic values include TIR, parallelism, roundness, tapers and max or min peaks. A tri-color LED display provides instantly recognizable results as good, oversize, or undersize. You can choose inch or metric values to be displayed. For your convenience, data can be offloaded to a PC, handheld or printer. For even greater flexibility, several Trendsetter II units can be connected for multiple feature checks or in automatic gaging applications.

Ring Gages

Ring Gages, typically used as "go/no-go" gages for cylindrical parts, or as masters for calibrating other types of gages. These are the foundation of Edmunds Gages. Edmunds ring gages are the finest available because we use only superb quality tool steels, and manufacturing and quality control processes that ensure the best value. These gages are calibrated at six separate points to verify size and geometry. Edmunds inch or metric plain ring gages are available in a wide range of sizes, in classes Z, Y, X, XX and a choice of materials to suit your application. Ring gages from .040 inch (1.02 mm) diameter to 12.000 inch (304.80 mm) diameter are available in steel or chrome. All are made per the specifications of the American Gage Design (AGD) standards. Custom configurations and marking are also available.

Plug Gages

Edmunds inch or metric plug gages are available in a wide range of sizes, in classes Z, Y, X, XX and a choice of steel or chrome to suit your application. Taperlock Plug Gages are available in Go member only, or No-Go member only, in sizes from .230 inches (5.84 mm) to 1.510 inches (38.35 mm). Trilock Plug Gages are available in Go member only, or No-Go member only, ranging in size from .760 inches (10.30 mm) to 8.010 inches (203.45 mm). Progressive Plug Gages are available in either Taperlock or Trilock styles. Progressive Taperlocks are available from .230 inches (5.84 mm) to 1.510 inches (38.35 mm), and Progressive Trilocks in 1.510 inches (38.35 mm) to 2.510 inches (63.75 mm). All are made to the specifications of the American Gage Design (AGD) standards. Custom configurations and marking are also available.

Taperlock Plug Gages are available in Go member only or No-Go member only, in sizes from .230 inches (5.84 mm) to 1.510 inches (38.35 mm). Custom configurations and marking are also available.

Tri-lock Plug Gages

Edmunds inch or metric plug gages are available in a wide range of sizes, in classes Z, Y, X, XX and a choice of steel or chrome to suit your application. Trilock Plug Gages are available in Go member only or No-Go member only, ranging in size from .760 inches (10.30 mm) to 8.010 inches (203.45 mm). Custom configurations and marking are also available.

Master Setting Discs

Edmunds Gages master set discs are the finest in the industry. There's no way around it. Many view set discs as commodity items. However, they are primarily used to "set" other types of gages so they have to be absolutely correct. Our master discs are all made to the specifications of the American Gage Design (AGD) standards, and can be purchased with certifications directly traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology. We offer inch or metric set discs from .150" (3.81 mm) to 12.00" (304.80 mm) in steel or chrome. They are available in three styles, and in classes Z, Y, X, XX.

Air Gaging

Air gaging is one of Edmunds' core measurement technologies. We have developed a two-master, back-pressure bleed system which is the most accurate air gaging method to use. Air Plugs

Edmunds Air Plugs are designed for back-pressure bleed, back-pressure, flow and differential systems. Styles are available for deep hole, shallow hole, thru-hole, blind-hole and close-to-shoulder applications. Sizes range from .120 inches (3.05mm) to and including 6.010 inches (152.65mm). Our leaf contact design, in sizes ranging from .573 inches (14.55mm) to 6.010 inches (152.65mm), is ideal for parts with inconsistent surface finishes.

Air Rings

Edmunds Air Rings are precision-machined air gaging tools for measuring outside diameters of cylindrical parts. They may be designed for use with all air gaging systems, and are available with up to three circuits.

Air Snaps

Edmunds Air Snap tooling is custom designed for difficult to reach or between centers diameter measurements. They may be designed to gage a part while it is engaged in the machine tool. Edmunds Air Snaps feature durable tungsten carbide rest pads for long wear, and a lightweight aluminum handle. They may be designed for use with all air gaging systems, and are available with up to three circuits. A vee-type backstop may also be specified.

Air Electronic

Edmunds offers a variety of ways to convert your air gaging results to electronic signals with a host of air-to-electronic amplifiers options. Our Trendsetter is the most economical solution, followed by the Accu-Touch with its 4-in-1 ability, or our "800" series converters work perfect with our Epic-CAG and Epic-ADAMM amplifiers.

Air Accessories

Edmunds Tooling Stands are designed to provide a rigid and stable base for horizontal mounting of air plugs or rings. Constructed of sturdy welded steel, they are available with proven brand-name chucks. The single tooling stand has a 5 inch × 5 inch footprint. The dual tooling stand has a 5 inch × 12 inch footprint. Edmunds Loaders make simple work of positioning and removal of thin work pieces. The loaders mount directly to an air ring and provide a square, traversing anvil for accurate and stable part location.

Gage Block Comparators

Edmunds Twin-Head Gage Block Comparators are designed and manufactured to handle the full range of gage block sizes and calibrate at a resolution of .0000001 inch. Resolutions of .0000002 inch, .0000005 inch or .000001 inch are also selectable. Edmunds offers two size ranges: a 20 inch Ultra-Precision Twin-Head Gage Block Comparator for gage blocks from 0 to 20 inches (0 to 508 mm), and a smaller 5 inch version designed to calibrate up to 4 inch (101 mm) blocks. Both units provide true point-to-point measurement. They feature two heads with individual power supplies, amplifier circuits and controls. A panel control can switch the comparator to single head operation when desired.

Accessories

Gage Probes

Our gage probes are designed for use with Edmunds' Trendsetter, Accu-Setter columns, Accu-Touch, and Epic-CAG gaging amplifiers. These Linear Variable Differential Transformer (LVDT) gage probes operate with two small electrical transformers which share a single core. When the core is centrally located between the two coils, the output is balanced or zeroed. When the core is physically displaced, the output of the two coils becomes unequal, with one coil increasing in output and the other decreasing. The measure of the core's movement is then recorded by these unequal outputs to represent true linear displacement or changes in size.
